Adults are prepared for Baptism according to the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. This process involves several stages and liturgical rites to draw out and deepen a candidate's desire for Baptism. It also involves a broad formation on the basics of the Catholic faith and an introduction to active faith life at Divine Grace Parish. For more information, contact Jason Gawaldo ([email protected], 724-776-9177 x1317). You can also complete our Sacrament Inquirer Form.
Baptisms of children (ages 6 and under) are scheduled through the Parish Office at 724-776-2888 x1101 at least two months in advance on the:
First Sunday of each month at Holy Redeemer Church after 11:00 am Mass.
Second or Fourth Sunday of each month at St. Ferdinand Church at 2:00 pm
Third Sunday of each month at St. Gregory Church at after the 10:00 AM Mass
Other times by appointment.
If your child is older than 6 and is in need of Baptism, please contact our Faith Formation Office at 724-776-9177 x1317 or email Jason Gawaldo ([email protected]) to discuss an appropriate formation plan.
Parents are asked to attend a Baptism Prep Class prior to the Baptism of their first child or if it has been a long time they last had a child baptized. These classes take place on the second Wednesday of every other month and rotate through all three campuses throughout the year. See below for a full schedule of upcoming classes and locations and to register.
