The Empowering God's Children program was designed by the Diocese of Pittsburgh to teach young children that they are beloved children of God in a way that lays a foundation for the Catholic Vision of Love (CVOL) curriculum in grades 6-8. CVOL is intended to support parents in countering distorted messages about sexuality by conveying God’s plan for human love and sexuality in a convincing and developmentally appropriate manner. These materials are reviewed at home with parents.
